Rendezvous With A Romance

The story was entertaining and sweet.  The couple, Griffin and Isabel, go on an adventure and fall in love in the process.  Ten years ago, he saved her from a wild boar and she never forgot him.  Now she is on her way to her betrothal and he is dispatched to kidnap her.  The past 10 years have not been kind to Griffin. He has lost his sense of honor and has become embittered by his circumstances. She doesn't recognize him until she is delivered to his foster brother.  He doesn't recognize her until he goes up to her prison cell and sees his medallion, that he lost the day he met her, around her neck.  They set off from there to deliver her to her betrothed, but along the way they grow closer and the attraction they feel becomes harder to ignore.  She is wounded trying to save him and he tries to do right by her by sending word to her betrothed as to where they are holed up, while she is nursed back to health.  All seems lost when Sebastian arrives and their love appears doomed until Sebastian's mother sees the medallion around her neck…

Overall, nice story, sweet with good characters. Easy to get into but not overly emotional and no moments of intense emotional strife like you will find with stories by Donna Grant and Monica McCarty deliver.  But I did enjoy it and I enjoyed that it wasn't too complicated.
