I love paranormal and historical romance novels. I love talking about books and finding out about new authors and books to read. I also love supporting and promoting my favorite authors.

This installment was very passionate and emotional. I have to admit some of my favorite scenes were when she thought he betrayed her and the scenes where he realizes how much he hurt her. The emotional connection between these two characters was intense at times. I enjoyed the ride! In the grand scheme of the whole series, this one falls into the high-middle from least favorite to most favorite in the series. It didn't such me in like Rio's book or Jake's book, but it came close and it was a very enjoyable read. I found myself not wanting to read it too fast because I didn't want it to end. Eli was an intense male-lead, a bit too dominate and sexually aggressive for my personal taste, but he was well developed and I liked him. Catarina was a very strong yet fragile female lead character. She was amazing, but heartbreaking at the same time. I liked her dichotomy. The series continues to entertain and is refreshing each time I read one in the series. It has not gotten old or too formulaic. Feehan does a good job taking her plot structure and giving it a fresh twist and a new outlook each time you revisit the series. If there is one thing I didn't like about this installment was that there was a lot more sex in this one than in previous books, and I honestly got tired of those scenes by the end of the book. I love her story telling, but this one seemed a bit saturated with the sex scenes.
